In summer months, easily access both towns via the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway (Wyoming Hwy 296), which intersects Wyoming Hwy 120 between Cody WY and Billings/Laurel MT, as well as US Hwy 212, legendarily known as the 'Beartooth Scenic Highway" out of Red Lodge, MT.  From the west, follow the road north of Tower Junction inside Yellowstone Park to get to the Northeast Entrance.
